Are you intimidated by the idea of joining a gym? If so, you are not alone. The gym experience can be overwhelming. Let me ask an even simpler question. How long have you been waiting and wanting to get into better shape? Or are you already at the point in your life when you spend most of that free time reliving those “glory days” through stories of both myth and legend?
The good news is we’re not a gym. We don’t offer memberships that you can make monthly payments for whether you show up or not. We also won’t bribe you to come with foods full of carbs and fat that directly contradicts the reason why you train in the first place. We have a very simple recruitment theme, if you have a problem with your house, car, health, or any other area you would normally seek a professionals advice or direction why would you ever believe that $20 a month would ever be the viable solution.
The truth is many of us are no more qualified to develop a training and fitness program, monitor the progress, avoid and prevent injury, and achieve the results that demand so much of the resource that most often causes us to fail, TIME!!!!
If you’re a fitness novice, you will need guidance and someone to answer all your questions and protect you from injury. Is it better to run on a treadmill, bike, or use an elliptical? Do you stretch before or after you work out? At Athletika Sports and Fitness, we are here to answer those questions and so much more. Reaching out and giving one of our college educated and certified trainers a call is your first step in resolving your confusion and intimidation.
Training plans are customized to fit your needs! A pre-test and a post-test evaluation will be administered to evaluate progress and determine goals of your training program. We are here to help and we practice what we preach. There is someone on your side every time you come through the door. We welcome you with open arms to be a part of the Athletika Sports and Fitness family.Read More

Every athlete’s goal is to improve at their sport and compete at the highest level. Some athletes play a variety of different sports, but they lack certain aspects to reach their individual potential and excel past their competition. At Athletika Sports and Fitness we evaluate movement patterns and train athletes how to move more efficiently. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, sport specific footwork, running mechanics, and strength training.
Our typical training week includes Monday/Tuesday emphasis on linear acceleration, Wednesday/Thursday lateral acceleration, and Friday/Saturday “make-up” days and or introduction of a new skill. The 11-14 U and the high school age classes have a pre-test and a post-test evaluation to measure the progress the athletes achieved during the training sessions.Read More
The trainers at Athletika Sports and Fitness have a passion for weightlifting, and we want to share our knowledge with you. We have a few different weightlifting programs for various ages including high school weightlifting and Olympic lifting. A pre-test and a post-test evaluation will be conducted to measure progress of the athlete before and after the program. The evaluation is also a necessary component to determine if the athlete is ready to begin a weightlifting program. Our high school lifting program is designed like a collegiate lifting program with workout cards and progressions built in to accommodate the athlete’s advancement. Our programs are designed with a tier system format so each day consists of a full body workout with a main emphasis (body part) for the day.
Our Olympic Lifting Program focuses on Olympic lifts and lifting variations to improve individual’s abilities to advance in Olympic lifting. There will be a pre-test and a post-test evaluation to measure progress and determine the ability to perform Olympic lifts. We are not a “Crossfit” gym and there are no unsafe WODs where Olympic lifts are performed for a massive amount of reps. Individuals that are training will be provided with a workout card to keep track of progress and advancement.Read More
